INALDE Business School led a regional survey among the Alumni community of five business schools in Latin America, made up of business owners, general directors and functional managers, on the main problems and situations that concern them most after the economic and social crisis unleashed due to Covid-19.
The result of this survey allowed us to develop these reflections and, of course, formulate strategies to effectively confront the crisis. This document is dedicated, primarily, to three audiences: entrepreneurs, managers and management teams, both in Colombia and in the region, in general. For this reason, we will break down the strategies BTC Users Number Data according to the type of audience, so that through this work a more direct communication is established with the reader. Below we will look at each of the strategies and we will end with some general conclusions from this study that will help us reflect on new ideas and reinforce others, in order to act effectively in times of high uncertainty. In fact, 83% of those surveyed consider that sales will fall between moderately and dramatically in 2020. Likewise, the study shows that the action that business owners and managers have prioritized the most is to stop the decline in sales. Likewise, their greatest fears lie in not having certainty about how long the quarantine will last and the fact that it will generate a chain of defaults along the value chains. A single word summarizes, at the same time, the greatest concern, the main bet and the deepest fear of Colombian businessmen: sales. The above is logical if we consider that only 31% of those surveyed had online sales mechanisms and that 13.2% are currently developing them. This tells us that the impact for respondents is very high due to the dependence on traditional physical channels. Manage your company as if it were 100% digital . The Covid-19 crisis accelerates a silent revolution that had been brewing: it is the digital transformation of companies and organizations.
