Black Friday in a nutshell: Why do you need it and how to ta |

Did you know that the first Black Friday did not celebrate sales, but was named after the financial crisis or gold market crash in the United States, which occurred on September 24, 1869?
Anyway, Black Friday as we know it today - a day of discounts that sellers and consumers in Slovenia (or the entire Adriatic region) adopted from the West - opens the shopping season every year, generating as much as 30% of annual revenue .
An important thing for all marketers, marketers, and us – agencies, that is, one that is definitely worth investing in. I will be happy to present to you how much and why below.
Expect a sales increase of between 50 and 450%
If you're wondering why you SHOULD offer discounts to users during Black Friday promotions, I have one answer for you: TO INCREASE SALES.
And how do I know this? Because I did my homework and analyzed our subscribers' data, and I found the following.
Last year , our major retail clients generated between 50% and 450% more revenue during Black Friday promotions (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) than during average weekends.
Black Friday weekend thus represented 30-60 % of total monthly revenue .
Visible revenue growth during Black Friday promotions:
Not only did we see 2-5 times more purchases than average fresh mobile database weekends, consumers also spent more during this time. The average purchase value was higher by 16% to 48%.
Black Friday also boosted sales for some of our tourism clients, generating around 11% of their total monthly revenue on that day , which is 56% more than on an average day .
IMPORTANT: We only recorded a significant increase in website visits and consequently revenue growth for those clients who prepared a Black Friday promotion for their users during this time. For clients who did not adjust and promote their offers, there were no changes on the website or in sales.

The train that brings us consumerism tricks from the West cannot be stopped, so rather than stressing yourself out about "everyone is offering discounts," "the market is oversaturated," and "you want to be different" (which I completely agree with on any other day of the year!), join it. Consumers expect it
Discounts are great for boosting sales, but they have an even greater impact when consumers expect them, as is the case with Black Friday sales.
The number of searches for the keyword "black Friday" increased by 21% from 2016 to 2017 (the day of the Black Friday promotions) .
Every year, more and more consumers are looking for "black sales", and they are now preparing for such purchases much earlier.
The number of searches in the week before Black Friday in 2017 increased by 22% compared to 2016 , and by as much as 62% between Saturday and Monday .

The categories of computing and mobile phones are experiencing the greatest growth in searches year after year , followed by clothing and beauty and care products.
